Job Details

Community Connections is the largest not for profit behavioral health agency in DC, serving vulnerable individuals, families, and children since 1984. The Supported Employment Specialist will partner with adult clients diagnosed with Opiod Use Disorders towards their goal of employment, developing relationships with job providers to achieve successful placements.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Manage a caseload of 20 consumers
    • Collaboratively create job search plans
    • Network with DC area businesses to establish relationships for placements
    • Actively secure employment matches for clients
    • Support clients after employment match to ensure success
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • One year of experience (pre- or post-BA) working in behavioral health, employment services, and/or retail/customer service
    • Outgoing personality and ability to network
    • Excellent problem solving skills
    • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • Pass Community Connections' agency background check
    • Preferred to have experience working with adults with substance use disorders
    • Preferred to have a personal car and clean driving record
