University of Maryland University College (UMUC) seeks an eLearning and Project Coordinator. The Coordinator will work with various level of management to ensure various aspects of project coordination is completed timely and accurately.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Familiarity with curriculum and content development processes.
  • Knowledge of and skills at measurement and program evaluation.
  • Understanding of project management and coordination strategies.
  • Versed in the areas of change management and continuous planning and improvement tools.
  • Creates digital learning materials using a variety of technology tools.
  • Assists with multiple technology tools managed by Faculty Development.
  • Develops, implements, and leads large faculty development initiatives.
  • Works closely with faculty to discover, develop, and implement ways in which technology can be applied to enhance onsite, hybrid, and distance education teaching.
  • Supports collaborations with other units involved in teaching and learning to establish productive relationships that support faculty and students.
  • Coordinate various project aspects for new and existing projects/programs including meetings, scheduling, maintains records, and facilitates communication in support of projects. Oversee & track Senior Management priorities and deliverables to prioritize, coordinate timelines and organize project meetings, presentations, documentation, progress updates, follow-up, etc.
  • Researches & writes reports, presentation preparation and other correspondence for both internal and external audiences including status reports. Maintains dashboards and other project documentation including notes, change requests, project plans and actions items.
  • Schedules complex and routine meetings including preparation and organization of background materials for meetings. Attend meetings as necessary to take and transcribe minutes for Senior Management team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
  • Two (2) years of experience working within a higher education office.
  • Must possess ability to perform difficult, complex and detailed work with accuracy and speed, including taking and transcribing minutes/memos.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Three (3) years' experience providing high-level administrative support/coordination preferred.
  • Expertise in numerous software programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Analyze situations accurately and proactively take appropriate action.
  • Identify problems and recommend solutions.
  • Compose correspondence and accurate reports with little guidance and direction.
  • Communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Perform mathematical calculations with accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain statistical records.
  • Work independently with a minimum of supervision.
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Interact with others in a helpful and courteous manner.
