Sentara Healthcare is hiring a full time Employee Relations Consultant in our Human Resources Department located in Norfolk, Virginia.

Position Overview
  • Experience Required:
    • Three (3) years working with complex employee relations matters.
    • Strong employee relations background and recent experience guiding leaders, completing investigations, legal, and high risk situations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provides Employee Relations support to Leaders and Employees including administering/interpreting policies, researching and/or investigating team member concerns and making recommendations that effectively promote positive employee relations.
  • Recommends effective solutions for addressing workplace concerns in accordance with and ensuring consistent interpretation of policies, procedures and applicable laws.
  • Maintains appropriate documentation and records for Employee Relations cases in HR Help Desk. Delivers service in a professional and efficient manner providing prompt assistance while managing expectations to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or in a related field required. Equivalent years of related experience in a healthcare setting may be considered in lieu of education or demonstrated experience in working with complex employee relations matters. In addition, three (3) years Employee Relations experience required.
