Sentara Healthcare is hiring a full time Manager of Technical Accounting in our Norfolk, Virginia corporate office.

Position Overview
  • Required Education: Bachelors Degree - Accounting
  • Required Experience: 5 years in an Accountant role
  • Identify, research, analyze and document complex accounting issues.
  • Provide technical accounting support in connection with the implementation of various changes in accounting policies and procedures that are prompted as a result of either the adoption of new accounting standards or as a result of newly-executed transactions.
  • Prepares, recommends improvements to, and enforce internal controls systems. Update and maintain charts of accounts.
  • Prepare and review internal and external financial reporting.
  • Perform financial analysis of management reporting.
  • Prepare necessary reconciliations.
  • Coordinate auditing process and response to audit findings.
  • Forecast, plan, and implement accounting changes required by FASB and current healthcare regulations.
  • Perform all other related duties. Serve as finance liaison for due diligence and integration for mergers and acquisitions.
