Sentara Healthcare is hiring a Practice Manager II for Palliative Care Specialists.

Minimum of 3-years Healthcare and 3-years Supervisory experience is required.

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Good balance of financial/operation knowledge and relationship building
  • Geographically dispersed - SCH, SLH, SNGH, SOH, SPAH, SVBGH, and SWRMC. Home office will likely be in VB/Norfolk.
  • Very responsive - candidate will oversee multiple programs and will be travelling to their programs regularly, so will need to ensure they are organized and respond timely to team questions, concerns, and feedback.
  • Empathetic and an excellent communicator
  • Independent
  • Excellent multitasker and ability to prioritize competing priorities - demonstrated ability to determine why/how something is important and how to communicate when a deadline cannot be met
  • Ability to have crucial conversations
  • Ability to compile and interpret data to lead and drive performance
  • Strategic thinker/own their programs
  • Clinical knowledge, inpatient hospital knowledge, Palliative Care

Clinical experience, and leadership experience in ambulatory care environment preferred. Master's degree preferred. Current Practice Manager I incumbents who do not meet the education requirement for the Practice Manager II position may be considered for promotion to Practice Manager II, provided s/he is willing to execute an education agreement that requires enrollment in a bachelor's level degree program within 12 months and completion of a bachelors level degree within 5 year from his/her start date in the Practice Manager II role.
