Job Description

  • Manage the full cycle billing and accounts receivable processes for SaaS subscription billing
  • Review and analyze SaaS subscription contracts, process all sales orders in billing and invoicing systems, and post cash receipts and follow-up on collections issues
  • Bill professional service hours of the engineering team and expenses; support the Finance department in meeting monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting deadlines
  • Evaluate, prioritize and resolve inbound customer queries
  • Engage with multiple internal engineering teams to efficiently and accurately invoice customers
  • Invoice customer for monthly SaaS subscription, professional services and revenue share fees
  • Generate credit memos, process write-offs, and prepare pro-forma invoices when necessary
  • Research and solve payment discrepancies and adjust customer accounts as needed
  • Evaluate current process flows and streamline billing processes to drive efficiency and accuracy
  • Prepare month-end and quarter-end accounting close entries and reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate documentation of business processes
  • Assist with annual financial audit by providing AR confirmations and documented support

  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience; SaaS Revenue Billing experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, media and technology industry, technical aspects of billing in bandwidths, and technical language in contracts; including SaaS agreements are preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple enterprise systems to complete the billing and revenue recognition process
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills - Including use of advanced formulas and pivot tables; previous experience with Invoice and Billing Systems preferred but not required
  • Ability to work independently and with a team; effectively interact with employees, including leadership, and clients in a professional deadline-driven environment
  • Salesforce experience is a plus
  • Strong organization and communication skills
