Job Summary/Company: A global startup dedicated to redefining the clean water space is seeking a seasoned Human Resources professional to join its growing team. The Human Resources Business Partner is a pivotal role necessitating multi-faceted HR and operational management responsibilities within an international organizational structure. This part-time position reports directly to the Managing Director and will serve in a "right hand" capacity implementing strategic roll-out initiatives.

  • Supports talent acquisition and recruitment processes for all US-based employees.
  • Manages payroll, salary benchmarks, benefits, and compensation. Participates in annual salary and bonus reviews and payroll budget processes.
  • Supports bookkeeping of payroll and monthly budget reconciliations.
  • Ensures accuracy of HR materials including employment contracts, employee handbooks, induction programs, etc.
  • Handles all internal employee relations and fosters a positive and productive employee culture. Works to ensure high employee morale.
  • Manages and coordinates the annual performance review process, exit interviews, and employee/office events.
  • Supports managers in providing employees with development opportunities and in forecasting and planning needs for suitable talent in line with the long-term business strategies.
  • Assists the Managing Director and other senior managers in solving various critical business-related ad-hoc tasks and projects.
  • Maintains up-to-date employees file records by handling changes in employment status in a timely manner.
  • Keeps current with latest HR trends and best practices. Keeps abreast of relevant States laws and pending legislation and informs leadership on current topics.

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Solid understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
  • Effective problem-solving skills. Strong business acumen is ideal.
  • Multi-tasker with sound judgment and critical thinking skills. Hands-on style, with the ability to make things happen.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required. A loyal team player and effective team builder.
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Bachelor's in business administration or related, preferably in HR with good understanding of finance.
  • Minimum 6 years in office and/or human resource management experience; 3-4 years of relevant HR work experience (essential).
  • Good understanding of payroll, knowledge of ADP Payroll Services a plus. Accounting knowledge preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, multicultural organization. Experience in a start-up environment preferred.
  • Deep understanding of Federal, State and local Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
