As the Technology Business Development Sales Lead, you will generate and close sales opportunities for the Airports Authority's own suite of in-house developed applications.

Technology Business Development Sales Lead

This is a non-career, term job.

Serves in the Technology Business Development and Sales (TBDS) Department of the Office of Technology in the Headquarters Office.

Supports the TBDS Department in generating and closing sales opportunities for the Airports Authority's own suite of in-house developed applications. Creates positive, long-lasting relationships through customer engagement and consultation. Defines sales opportunities in a market comprised of all airports throughout North America and beyond. Performs related functions.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Generates and closes sales opportunities for the Airports Authority's own suite of in-house developed applications and airport technology solutions.

Defines sales opportunities and coordinates multiple resources to build and manage a pipeline of sales opportunities.

Closes sales to meet or exceed annual revenue targets with a high degree of forecasting accuracy. Builds a compelling strategy for future growth.

Works with customers to map implementation plans to their timelines; ensures product launch is a value capture and value add proposition.

Creates positive, long-lasting relationships through customer engagement and consultation. Presents industry and customer insights that demonstrate a depth of product knowledge and expertise.

Collaborates with the TBDS Department and the other MWAA Lab team staff to share strategies and ensure a consistent solution message.

Ensures successful implementation, value capture, and customer satisfaction with MWAA Labs solutions by working in concert with the technical support team, the Client Engagement team, and other Airports Authority staff.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Six years of progressively responsible experience in technology solution sales.

Two of the six years of experience must include selling SaaS and/or software solutions.

Knowledge of and ability to apply project management and strategic techniques to sales account planning and execution.

Knowledge of current technology (such as mobile apps and devices, web and social media, and other technology trends) and the ability to convey a deep understanding of that technology to customers.

Ability to make detailed analyses of data and information and make recommendations, with emphasis on market data and analysis.

Strong interpersonal skills that drive customer relationship management.

Ability to communicate (verbal and written) technical information in a clear manner for a broad range of audiences.

Skill in using a computer and office software.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working within an airport or aviation market.

EDUCATION

A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED

A state driver's license in good standing.

NECESSARY SPECIAL FACTORS

Work may require occasional travel, such as participation in trade shows, conferences, and sales missions.

Work is typically reviewed in progress and upon completion for quantity, quality, timeliness, customer service, team work, and adherence to guidelines.
