Requirements
The Center for Children and Families (CCF), located at the McCourt School of Public Policy's Health Policy Institute, is seeking an undergraduate student to serve as an intern for 40 hours per week (specific hours to be determined) during the summer of 2019.
S/he assists the communications team with updating and maintaining media and mailing lists, updating the Center's website, and other communications, policy and research, or administrative duties as needs arise. The Research Intern has additional duties that include but are not limited to:
Media Monitoring, Contact Management, and Data Analytics
- Helps build and diligently maintain an extensive media list.
- Produces daily clips and helps the Communications Specialist compile weekly report on social media engagement and website metrics.
- Prepares more extensive reports for funder reports as needed.
Logistics Support for CCF Annual Conference
- Helps prepare materials, PowerPoint presentations, and other duties as assigned.
- Staffs the check-in table and assist conference guests and speakers.
- Performs other conference support tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current undergraduate student with strong organizational and writing skills
- Knowledge or strong interest in health policy or social welfare policy
- Experience using social media
