Financial Reporting Senior/Specialist (Federal Agency Experience Required)
Candidate must possess an undergraduate or master's degree in accounting. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) license is required. Candidate should have extensive prior experience assisting a federal agency in preparing consolidated financial statements and related disclosures, as well as conducting detailed financial statement analyses and other related procedures necessary for ensuring the accuracy of the financial statements and related disclosures. Candidate should have experience in OMB Circular A-136/CFO Act knowledge and FASAB knowledge and OMB A-123. Candidate should have experience developing workpaper documentation that clearly and concisely supports the basis for all financial statements and footnote data. Candidate should also have an extensive understanding of Federal accounting standards, GAAP, and OMB financial reporting guidelines, with experience researching, interpreting, implementing, and documenting conclusions in accounting position papers with regards to the impact on financial statements and disclosures of newly issued accounting standards or application of existing accounting standards to new business transactions. Candidate should have experience in OMB A-123 testing and related documentation. Candidate must possess strong oral and written communications skills, and have sufficient knowledge utilizing Microsoft Excel and Access to develop complex spreadsheets to analyze accounting data. Candidate must be authorized to work in US, and must be able to proficiently read, write, speak, and understand English. Candidate must possess good organization and business writing skills.
