SC&H Tax & Advisory Services is searching for a Tax Principal with strong business development, tax consulting and compliance background to join our Firm in our Sparks, MD headquarters. The Principal in our Middle Market Tax Services practice serves as the focal point of contact between our firm and our clients. You will lead tax engagement teams on various projects and handle all tax compliance and consulting issues for clients, manage and research tax issues, and provide tax planning and related tax consulting services. In addition, the Principal will look for opportunities to expand tax services, cultivate and maintain effective relationships with audit counterparts on mutual audit/tax engagements and will mentor, train and assist manager, senior and staff associates.Qualified candidates will have the following:-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related field-CPA is required and a Masters in Tax is highly preferred-A minimum of 8 years of public accounting experience preparing and reviewing pass through and individual tax returns is required-Previous Big 4/ National or Regional firm experience performing tax compliance, research and consulting is highly preferred-Excellent research, writing and interpersonal skills-Proven track record or capability to drive business development and identify cross sell tax services opportunities with existing client baseHaving achieved a world-class Net Promoter Score, we pride ourselves on providing a first-class experience to our clients and employees.
