Pre Sales Data Engineer

Key Role:

Work with Booz Allen market teams to bring data platform solutions to our clients to establish the data best practices required for success. Assist with leading the technical response to request for proposal, quote, information while shaping customer requirements into a roadmap for Booz Allen's data platforms. Drive the technical sales process from introductory meetings, demonstrations through post-sales, including implementation and customer satisfaction along with educating prospects on the business value of Booz Allen's data platform and analytic solutions. 

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience as a software developer

-3+ years of experience as a pre-sales and sales engineer

-Experience with the software development life cycle from conception to design to technology evaluation, pilot program to implementation and maintenance and support

-Experience with any of the following: Oracle, MySQL or PostgreSQL along with Java, Python, Scala or similar languages

-Experience with Unix and Linux

-Experience in gathering and comprehending customer business requirements

-Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and demands

-Ability to respond to request for proposal, quote and information as a technical writer

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with distributed systems, data analytics, and previous Hadoop

-Experience with SQL development and optimization

-Possession of excellent customer service skills

-Possession of excellent public speaking skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent problem-solving skills

-Secret clearance preferred
