The Lourie Center for Children's Social & Emotional Wellness is a private, non-profit agency with a mission to improve the social and emotional health of young children and their families through prevention, early intervention, education, research and training. The Lourie Center has four core programs serving children birth through age 12 and their families: Head Start, The Lourie Center School, The Therapeutic Nursery Program and Parent-Child Clinical Services.

The School registrar:
Provides administrative support to the School's staff, including the maintenance of confidential client records
Sets up, maintains and edits electronic files for reports, calendars, correspondence, address lists, attendance sheets, mailing lists, etc.
Handles incoming telephone calls, transferring to appropriate staff members and voice mail boxes
Works with outside agencies and LEAs to schedule meetings, provide documents or needed information or reports, or to troubleshoot concerns
Maintains monthly quality assurance reports and submits these to the appropriate people or departments
Coordinates all materials needed for IEP meetings, annual reviews, by ensuring necessary forms and information is complete and available
Prepares Quarterly reports for input by school staff
Prepares Quarterly reports to go home to parents
Purchases office and food supplies for the School as authorized by the Director
Refines and maintains a filing system for the School's correspondence and records on the students
Types, edits and proofs correspondence, memoranda, reports, appointment letters, contracts etc. Prepares and types routine correspondence at the request of the Director of the school
Update Attendance Weekly in student files
Maintain and update weekly staff sign-in book
Enter Kronos for Lourie Center School
Available to assist/restrain children who may be in crises
Provide Coverage for Lourie Center's classroom staff and front desk when necessary
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director

Qualified candidates will possess:
A basic knowledge of the English language, its grammar and spelling
Must be able to interact with a diverse population and get along with people
Requires the ability to type at least 60 words per minute
Requires the ability to operate general office equipment, including a computer and familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel, and other software
Ability to learn various computer programs as these relate to the media collection
Active BLS CPR card
