RESPONSIBILITIES: The CFO is responsible for leading the finance, facilities, and outsourced legal function on a global basis to support DIA's multinational operations in China, Europe, India, Japan, North America, and other locations throughout the world. The CFO will work closely with the Global CEO, Executive Leadership Team (ELT), and Board of Directors to drive a strategic change agenda. This position is a hands-on strategic leadership role to take DIA into a significant growth phase. The ongoing responsibilities are as follows: * In close collaboration with the other members of the ELT, develop, execute, and communicate, financial and operational strategy that aligns with DIA's mission, vision, goals, and values to the board, volunteers, and staff. * Lead, manage, and oversee the finance and accounting functions, including the related internal controls, and delivery of GAAP-compliant results. This includes financial reporting, short range and longer-term financial planning, general and cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax, and banking and cash management. * Lead, manage, and oversee the financial, facilities, and legal functions. * Develop and monitor performance against short- and long-term financial objectives, including forecasts, budgets, and growth plans, and consistently deliver on financial commitments. * Work closely with the CEO and other members of the ELT on return on investment (ROI) and business case analyses for potential new products, services, and partnerships. Work to create and implement a growth strategy for DIA. * In partnership with the CEO, proactively communicate, interact and collaborate with DIA Board including but not limited to the Executive, Finance, and Audit Committees and advisory councils, as requested. * Represent the company externally to government agencies, auditors, tax advisors, bankers, investment advisors, business consultants, etc. Coordinate annual financial audits. * Lead the development of risk management strategy, policies, processes, and controls to mitigate organization exposure including business continuity and disaster recovery planning. * Establish and maintain industry best practice operating standards and practices that are responsive and adaptable to evolving business needs. * Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will have 15 plus years of related experience in progressively responsible roles leading finance and other operational/administrative functions for a global organization. The ideal candidate will have worked for a corporation or other for-profit, revenue cycle organization in a senior finance role. The final candidate will have many of the following experiences, skills, and personal attributes: * Broad and deep understanding of accounting and finance principles, ideally gained in part from working at a major accounting firm, for-profit corporation, or similar with current knowledge of US GAAP requirements and global accounting standards. * Proven expertise performing in-depth analysis of financial plans including budgets, acquisitions, contract accounting, capital appropriations, financing, leasing, cash management, credit facilities, etc. * Demonstrated track record to proactively identify, assess, analyze, and communicate financial scenarios that may affect business operations, including currency exchange issues. * Proven ability to proactively identify and lead the re-engineering of key processes and systems in support of the organization's mission and objectives. * Demonstrated ability to assess talent, clearly define roles, build teams, lead people, and coach and develop staff. Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive challenging projects and motivate teams to achieve common goals. * Strong organizational skills including the ability to implement change management initiatives. * Previous experience working in the healthcare industry and/or a nonprofit organization is a plus. * Ability to travel locally and internationally. EDUCATION: A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field or equivalent experience is required. A Certified Public Accountant license is highly desired and a master's degree is a plus.
