Director of Tax 1001 Washington Street in Conshohocken - PA 19428 Job Description General Summary: The Director of Tax will be primarily responsible for the world-wide income tax function for David's Bridal, Inc. including federal, state and international income tax matters. This person will report to the VP of Tax & Treasury and assist in all aspects of the income tax function including tax accounting, planning, compliance, covering federal, state and local as well as international income taxes. Principal Functions and Responsibilities: * Ensure proper application of ASC 740 and other accounting pronouncements, including calculations and disclosures * Ensure tax filings and estimated tax payments are timely, complete and accurate * Implement federal, state and international tax planning to optimize cash taxes and the overall effective tax rate * Direct cross border transfer pricing policies and related arms-length documentation * Ensure income tax reporting and related disclosures are complete and accurate in financial statements * Ensure interim quarterly effective tax rate and tax forecasts are updated periodically and are complete and accurate * Liaison with external auditors regarding income tax reporting matters * Manage the tax compliance process for both US (federal & state) and international filings * Manage relationships with the outside service providers including communicating deadlines, setting expectations, etc. * Perform secondary level review of all filings upon completion by outside service providers as applicable * Work with others within Tax and the Company to update and ensure proper measurement of uncertain tax positions, tax risk management and support tax audits * Ensure proper design, operation and maintenance of internal controls * Monitor and analyze tax regulatory and compliance developments and tax law changes * Implement new tax policies, strategies, and procedures to support tax and other cross-functional initiatives, as appropriate Apply Now
