And the team you will be joining is tasked with ensuring all the infrastructure needed for Intelsat's operations is up all the time, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.Come join one of Intelsat's software development teams dedicated to building Intelsat's Satellite Control Systems. You should bring your desire to learn and your ability to creatively tackle challenging technical problems with state-of-the-art software solutions with the support to a highly skilled software development and integration team. Your project will be to apply a Machine Learning approach to the analysis of a set of automated logs generated within the Intelsat GNS (Ground Network System). Logs record in real time alarms, events, commanding, telemetry, site information during operation that allows Satellite Controllers and engineers to monitor the GNS system.

Cool stuff you'll be able to do:
  • Developing skills in Machine learning using existing framework
  • Learn about communication satellites including satellite telemetry and commanding systems.
  • Performing data analysis and research on a complex satellite control system.

You should definitely have:
  • Part-time or full-time students who have completed 24+ credit hours (rising sophomores/juniors/seniors) and are enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university
  • Part-time or full-time students enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited college or university
  • May 2019 graduate (Summer Interns Only)
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, professionalism and maturity in the workplace
  • Effective communicator in both written and spoken English
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in use of MSOffice Suite
  • 3.0 GPA or above preferred

But it would be nice if you had:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working with framework such as Keras, TensorFlow or any machine learning tools
  • Experience with the Linux Operating System
  • Experience with Python
