You may qualify at the GS-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirements:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which included providing guidance and assistance to Federal agencies on records creation, management, disposition, and helping develop and coordinate other outreach activities; answering general inquiries from agencies on records management matter, and reviewing records schedules, appraising records, and processing records schedules; contributing to development of Government-wide records management policies, procedures, regulations, and guidance; assisting with developing and implementing work plans; contributing to development of development of policies, procedures, and standards concerning internal (section; team) operations; collaborating with co-workers and team members.
You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirements:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which included independently providing guidance and assistance to Federal agency staff on records creation, management and disposition; recommending, preparing, and/or reviewing disposition actions; helping develop and coordinate records management outreach and/or training activities; answering general inquiries from agency staff on records management matters; appraising records and/or creating, reviewing or processing records schedules; contributing to developing records management policies, procedures, and/or guidance; assisting with developing and implementing work plans and collaborating with co-workers and team members.
Merit promotion applicants must meet time in grade requirements as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirement for the GS-12 level; One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirement for the GS-13 level.
