  • To qualify at the GS-13 level: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-12 federal grade level. This experience must include duties such as: reviewing requests for security investigations and reinvestigations; conducting security checks for derogatory information and determining courses of action for resolution; providing recommendations to management regarding changes in security policies and regulations; advising management officials of unique processing requirements or concerns and how they should be addressed; and advising and training junior staff members on security program requirements.
