GS-08: I have at least one year of specialized experience or the equivalent, comparable to at least the GS-07 in the Federal Service (obtained in either the public or private sector). Specialized experience is work experience that provided the knowledge of federal EEO laws, regulation, decisions, etc. to provide intake of complaints which include carefully evaluating the contact's issues & claims to determine whether the EEO process is the correct venue for resolution. Acknowledges receipt of EEO complaints and reviews to determine their basis; reviews EEO counselor reports and witness statements; explains regulations and agency procedures; consolidate and prepare response documents; and prepare EEO files for administrative closure.
EDUCATION IS NOT A QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT
GS-07: I have at least one year of specialized experience or the equivalent, comparable to at least the GS-06 in the Federal Service (obtained in either the public or private sector). Specialized experience is work experience assisting in the EEO complaint intake process function which include interviewing individuals to obtain factual information; advising individuals of their rights and responsibilities; responding to routine inquiries on filing a complaint, the complaint process procedures and processing cycle; and clerical procedures for processing discrimination complaints and developing various equal employment opportunity reports.
