GS-12: Candidates must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent in responsibility to the federal GS-11 level, providing engineering design, review, and related project management services for construction or renovation projects for museums, cultural institutions, hospitals, higher education or historic buildings.

- Knowledge of the construction contractor or design consultant management role.
- Ability to manage renovation projects, through all phases from inception to completion.
- Skill in the design of, and review of project documents for building engineered systems including structural/civil, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection.
- Ability to solve engineering problems and convey solutions verbally, visually (CAD), and in writing.
Other Relevant Eligibility Criteria:
Requires the use of ladders, scaffolds and work on high platforms. Requires work in cramped and isolated locations. Must have completed a rigorous engineering program of study, consistent with OPM requirements.
