  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on a Single-Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain access to National Security Agency (NSA) facilities and networks.
  • Temporary duty (TDY) travel may be required 25% or less.
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.

    In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.     To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one (1) year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience conducting studies and work assignments to recommend/develop new methods and procedures on policy, programs, resources, and effectiveness of a Cyber and Intelligence training, readiness, and exercises program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GG/GS-07).

    To qualify at the GG-09 grade level based on your education, you must have a Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Business Administration or Business Management. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification).

    A combination of successfully completed education and experience may also be used to meet the total qualification requirement for this position at the GG-09 level. To qualify with a combination of education and experience, you must have the specialized experience described above, but less than one year, AND at least one year of graduate education, but less than the required two years.

    This is a developmental position to a GG-0343-12; however, selection will only be made at the GG-09 grade level.
