Your role in helping us shape the future:

This position is for an IT Manager/Datawarehouse Architect who will be leading technical team in building and populating data structures that enable analytics and reporting solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for Oracle-based Data Warehouse, Enterprise Reporting and number of collaboration and analytics platforms, including SharePoint, Business Objects and Tableau.

Are you up to the challenge?
  • Manage the daily activities of the team responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of data warehouse systems and related data marts. Provide directions and oversight to the team. Ensure operational effectiveness and a high-quality customer experience.
  • Provide advanced Data Warehouse assistance/mentoring to team members. Serve as a Data Architect overseeing the creation of database architecture and data repositories.
  • Lead the development of data driven solutions using Oracle SQL, PLSQL and other analytical tools, to satisfy company's business intelligence needs. Support ad hoc data reporting needs.
  • Oversee prioritization of change requests, resource allocations and delivery of solutions ensuring value realization.
  • Perform research, support pilots, and investigate potential solutions to help anticipate the business needs.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and business owners in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, and support cost-effective technology solutions. Understand their needs and play the role of liaison between IT and the business units; communicating delivery timelines and managing user expectations.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams, work on the data integrations projects.
  • Manage staff development and training through established HR guidelines.

Can you drive these processes?

System Development Life Cycle

You should definitely have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and 7+ years of the experience working in IT departments.
  • 5+ years of experience with data management, data-modeling and Data Warehouse concepts and processes.
  • Hands-on experience with both relational and dimensional databases.
  • Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle DB.
  • Full understanding of standards for all aspects of the Data Warehouse Development Lifecycle and ability to utilize it to accomplish Data Warehouse releases.
  • Willingness to question the validity, accuracy of data and assumptions.
  • Ability to explain complicated or technical information in a simple way to non-technical or executive audiences.
  • Ability and desire to manage and develop staff.
  • Ability to lead and manage under conditions of ambiguity and uncertainty. Proven organizational skills in working across organizational boundaries and reporting lines - ability to work in a matrix environment as required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with peers and executive leadership.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving and management skills, including facilitating change, driving operational excellence, and striving for continuous improvement in fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
  • Creativity, professionalism, proactiveness and an interest in new technologies.

It would be nice if you had:

  • Experience working with Reporting tools such as Tableau and Business Objects.
  • Experience working with ETL tools.
