Visual Information Specialist

You may qualify at the GS-12 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualification requirements:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service that includes coordinating graphic design, photography and videography services for a Federal agency or private industry, preparing, and/or directing the preparation of graphic designs for printed and electronic materials, and serving as a liaison between program officials and service providers. My experience includes negotiating program requirements and developing solutions through specialized knowledge of specifications, reproduction methods and sources, capabilities of service providers used, equipment and processes, and production costs sufficient to identify the most economical and responsive processes and sources for graphic design, photography, and videography projects. Additionally, I have "hands-on" experience producing high-quality graphic designs from concept through delivery to customers. I have experience performing substantive administrative support such as planning, estimating, and scheduling, and policy functions directly related to agency visual identity, visual communication and visual support services.

Merit promotion applicants must meet time in grade requirements as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirement for the GS-12 level.
