  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Life Cycle Logistics Level 3. If you are not certified you must achieve certification within 24 months of appointment.
  • Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Working knowledge of a wide range of quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of acquisition and sustainment planning methods directed at the Naval Aviation Depot Maintenance Capability Planning process; 2) In-depth knowledge of DoD, Navy, and NAVAIR missions, organizational structures, methods of operation, and interrelationships as applicable to the development, implementation, and execution of depot-level maintenance and repair of hardware and software sustainment; 3) Perform utilizing industrial maintenance and logistics planning policies, procedures and programs; understanding the technical and administrative relationships and responsibilities associated with industrial maintenance within the DoD as evidenced by mastery of public laws, Executive Orders, OMB, DoD and Service directives that establish or impact industrial maintenance and core capabilities for assigned Navy weapons systems/components; 4) Utilizing basic concepts of the legislative process to support the researching, analyzing, reporting, and informing on the recurring and annual legislative proposals and updates to laws guiding, influencing, and shaping Industrial Operations; 5) Utilizing basic concepts associated to sustainment of software enabling the ability to perform and support the development, documentation, implementation, and execution of the policy, procedures, processes, and tools for determining software sustainment organic capability requirements (i.e. Core logistics requirements) and software sustainment source assignments.
