Emmes offers support for the entire process of clinical trials from study design and protocol development through data analysis and manuscript generation.

Emmes is searching for an Administrative Coordinator (AC) to be based in our Rockville, Maryland office to support a research team in the management of study related documents and materials .


This position will support a pediatric research team, whose efforts in clinical research provide critical data in support of the Best Pharmaceuticals for Children Act (BPCA), mandated by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to prioritize therapeutic areas in critical need for pediatric labeling; to sponsor pediatric clinical trials; and to submit these data to FDA for consideration for labeling change.

  • Drafting, editing, formatting, distributing/publishing, and archival, via a Trial Master File (TMF), of study related documents
  • Distributes technical reports, manuals, presentations, manuscripts, and regulatory submissions (paper and electronic format)
  • Maintains databases relating to overall project management e.g., entering, retrieving, modifying, and manipulating data to generate; reports, program-wide mailing rosters, meeting materials and performance metrics
  • Provides day-to-day project coordination of activities amongst staff, and supports the Project Managers by tracking deliverables
  • Establishes and maintains standard operating procedures.
  • Supports the research team in the coordination of client meetings (in-house and via webcast)

  • 3 years experience in an administrative or document management role with a bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent years of experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite products and Portable Document Format tools in the generation and compiling of complex reports, documents, and presentations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, in support of time-sensitive deliverables
  • Prior editing role in the development of written materials, requiring attention to detail and formatting
