Freddie Mac's Single Family Division is currently seeking a Business Analyst Senior to implements tools and methods of risk evaluation as a member of the Credit Analytics and Reporting team.

Responsibilities include:

*As Business/Systems Analyst gather business and system requirements for data movement and controls, develop and document mappings and rules
*Manage requirements document
*Engaged with developing SIT/User Acceptance test cases and data sets
*Logical thinker performing data analysis
*Solid understanding of business & systems needs and detail requirements
*Develop test cases, test scripts and perform sit/user acceptance testing for data application projects
*Gather and document Business Operational Readiness Review document
*Facilitate requirements meetings and influence decisions
*Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current data management trends
*Have experience manipulating and analyzing large datasets including using statistical software
*Solutions are innovative, thorough, and practicable
*Works under limited direction
*Independently determines and develops approach to solutions
*Collaborate with team members and interact across organizational lines to meet business objectives
*Review system requirements / spec to ensure business requirements are translated correctly
*Interact, collaborate and support SIT/UAT testing
*Must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
*Analyze large datasets (Structured and Unstructured data - XMLs, JSONs, PDFs) using big data platform.
*Would be required to engage using Python, PySpark, PIG, HIVE scripts to filter/map/aggregate data.
*Capture requirements for R&D and exploratory analysis to understand requirements and data.


*Typically 5+ years of data analysis experience with a combination of business and technical skills
*BS Degree in Information Management, Computer Science or related field of study
*5+ years of excellent SQL/SAS and Unix programming experience
*4+ years of experience working with JSON, XML and CSV files
*4+ years of data mart/database/ETL experience
*Knowledge of Freddie Mac internal models and processes
*Worked in the business area or closely/directly with business area to gather business requirements/rules logic and develop code.
*Solid communications skills - verbal and written
*Detail oriented and excellent organization skills
*Experience working with Version One or JIRA or similar tool
*Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
*Experience with database, data model and data warehouse concepts
*Excellent communication skills
*Loan Prospector, Loan Quality, Loan Advisor suite application working knowledge or similar applications
*Loan Manufacturing process knowledge

*Programming experience on Spark and Hadoop

*Mortgage industry experience or financial / credit analysis
