  • A one-year supervisory probationary period may be required.
  • All applicants must have one year (52 weeks) of SPECIALIZED experience equivalent to the next lower grade (FG/GS-14) or band level (FV-J) in the federal service. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as experience which is in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.

    Examples of specialized experience includes experience evaluating the effectiveness of internal information security policies and practices to ensure they meet the intent and purpose of federal regulations and implementing policy and process changes that improve the protection of FAA facilities, classified national security information, and controlled unclassified information (CUI).
