    Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level.

    Specialized experience is defined as experience performing a variety of administrative tasks for an organization, including monitoring the work processes to ensure compliance with administrative procedures and guidelines. Determining and recommending the need to establish new or revised office procedures and controls to ensure efficiency of the administrative functions of an organization. Providing technical guidance, coordination, and assistance to personnel on administrative or procedural requirements.

    In addition to meeting the experience requirements above, you must self certify possession of the following skills as appropriate: 40 words per minute typing speed. Applicants may be required to provide proof of proficiency if selected for the position.

    TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT: If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

    There is no substitution of education for specialized experience.

    • Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP) or Reemployment Priority List (RPL): Visit the OPM website for information on how to apply as a CTAP or RPL eligible. To exercise selection priority for this vacancy, CTAP/RPL candidates must meet the basic eligibility requirements and all selective factors.
