Job Details

We are looking for a Program Assistant to organize our Integrative Medicine Program. You will support day-to-day operations by performing administrative tasks and clinical duties for the medical director and the educational program director to ensure high quality customer service for our patients.

As a Program Assistant to our Integrative Medicine program, you will perform various tasks on a daily basis. You should be able to multitask, prioritize and have close attention to detail. We also expect you to handle sensitive information confidentially. If you are able to combine exceptional communication skills with an ability to perform 'behind the scenes' tasks and if you have the interest and motivation to learn about a new and exciting field of medicine called Integrative Medicine, we would like to meet you.

Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our Integrative Medicine Program's smooth operation by accurately completing administrative and clinical tasks in a timely manner.

Requirments:
Associate's Degree or higher and/or Certification from an accredited program or in a program with a completion date or completion within first year of hire); from either the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), American Medical Technologists (AMT) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT); years of experience will be considered in place of degree.

Responsiblities:
Perform administrative tasks
Assist the Medical Director:
Organizing a patient chart, including how to request medical information from referring physicians' offices
Follow-up contact with patient as indicated to ensure compliance with recommendation, medications, labs or other testing.
Scheduling appointments, answering and triaging calls
Prepare treatment room for patient exam; clean-up
Assist the Educational Program Manager with administrative tasks associated with our educational programming
Assist Radiation Oncology Department as needed with clerical, clinical, and other department related duties.
Use of computer, software (Excel) and applications
Other duties as assigned to support the Integrative Medicine Program.
Perform clinical duties
Ability to understand diagnoses and medical charts
Taking medical histories and recording medical information, test results, etc. for the doctor
Taking and recording vital signs.
Excellent written communication skills
Excellent verbal skills: ability to ask questions, ask for help and communicate ideas clearly, whether talking to physicians or patients.
Good listening skills
Accountability
collaborate with doctors, nurses and other colleagues
Ensure compliance with procedures
