We are looking for a strong HR Specialist with a focus in Benefits and Compensation to assist both the Corporate Director of Benefits and the Compensation Manager. This role will help support the design, implementation, communication and administration of Dewberry's benefits and compensation programs. The ideal candidate will have experience in both areas, with the ability to prioritize their work in order to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage company wellness program in accordance with company policy
  • Manage our Shared Leave Program
  • Manage our Employee Referral Program
  • May assist in the orientation of new employees
  • Use PayFactors and various industry surveys to conduct complex market analysis. This would also include continuous benchmarking all jobs within PayFactors
  • Manage salary survey participation process
  • Answer and support employee questions on any benefits or compensation inquires
  • Conduct FLSA reviews with managers as needed
  • Support and lead benefit and compensation related projects and perform other duties as needed
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly HR metrics and reporting, including ad hoc requests
  • Partner with Compensation Manager on:
    • Full life cycle of merit increase cycles
    • Setting entry level rates and annual compression review
    • Annual Affirmative Action, EEO and VETs analysis and reporting


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years working experience with Compensation and Benefits
  • Functional knowledge of employment laws and practices related to compensation and benefit programs
  • Prior experience in compensation management, job evaluation and market pricing
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Must be analytical in nature and have excellence critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be comfortable interacting with various levels of management
  • BS degree in human resources, business administration or equivalent experience a must
