Looking to find work that stimulates your mind, challenges your skills, and satisfies your curiosity? MIL currently holds several multi-year contracts with NAWCAD in the areas of Cyber, C5ISR, and Information Technology systems.
The MIL Corporation is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support a Federal Government client at our Lexington Park, MD location. The ISSO will provide technical support involving evaluation, integration, fielding, maintenance, testing, and operation of networks, systems and subsystems.
Key Duties
- Assist with the development of system Cybersecurity documentation to support certification of compliance to applicable standards including RMF and DCID 6/9
- Maintain and support current and ongoing Assess and Authorize (A&A) packages
- Implement and support cyber security standards to include NIST and Risk Management Framework (RMF) A&A Standards
- Work with systems owners, government managers and other stakeholders to manage Cybersecurity requirements
- Perform regular systems security scans and maintain records of such scans, as required by A&A guidelines
- Respond to Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) as necessary to address systems vulnerabilities
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of relevant experience in System Administration of LAN/WAN systems, network security, systems maintenance, and systems monitoring/reporting
- Possess DoD 8570/DoN 5239 IAT Level II certification
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in providing Tier 1 through Tier 3 support to niche Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) end users
- Security+ and OS certifications
Clearance
All applicants for this position must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; please note that the clearance process takes into account financial background aspects.
