Swim Instructor - Yates Memorial Field House

With this in mind, the Yates Memorial Field House was built to meet the recreational, instructional, and intramural sport needs of the entire University Community. As the primary recreation facility for Georgetown University, Yates offers comprehensive recreational programming to serve the needs of university students, faculty and staff.
The Swim Instructor will provide private swim instruction primarily to adults from beginner to advanced level, but may also include some instruction for children. The instructor must have previous teaching experience, understand how to teach the "fearful adult swimmer", enjoy helping clients improve their swimming ability and be enthusiastic, friendly and positive. The position is part-time and involves evening and weekend hours- approximately 10 hours per week.
Requirements
- Previous teaching experience with adult beginner, intermediate and advanced swimmers.
- CPR/AED First Aid Certification (preferred by not required)
- Red Cross WSI
- Engaging and professional approach
- Self-motivated with passion for helping clients achieve their swim goals
- College degree preferred
