Program Manager - McCourt School of Public Policy, Center on Juvenile Justice Reform
The Program Manager will support a variety of technical assistance projects to advance policy, practice, and system change in various systems such as child welfare and juvenile justice. The role will require researching, coordinating, and managing state and local human services organizations in work efforts related to improving outcomes for youth that intersect between multiple systems; strengthening families and communities in support of advancing institutional knowledge about cross-sector collaboration. Duties include but are not limited:
- Coordinate a multi-system technical assistance program.
- Maintain contact with participating jurisdictions to ensure completion of task.
- Review and develop technical assistance materials (i.e. infographics, logic models).
- Conduct research on topics of interest and requested resources from participating jurisdiction.
- Develop curriculum for the technical assistance programs.
- Develop and implement a marketing strategy for the technical assistance program.
- Coordinate conference calls, video conferences, and webinars for participating jurisdictions.
- Oversee the management and utility of a project based website; creation and maintenance of user accounts.
- Research and develop relevant content for the website.
- Conduct technical assistance sessions based on a singular topic with state and county teams of staff working in human service agencies.
- Develop a tracking mechanism to monitor implementation of reform efforts and provide additional implementation support as needed.
- Create and distribute follow-up surveys to jurisdictions in previous cohorts.
- Develop and maintain a support network of all participating jurisdictions.
- Provide technical assistance to states implementing the Crossover Youth Practice Model.
- Coordinate and facilitate conference calls with jurisdictional teams.
- Assist in drafting protocols, system maps, policy briefs, and other jurisdiction specific documents.
- Assist in planning and co-facilitating project specific face-to-face, audio, and web-based meetings, training sessions, briefings, and on-site meetings.
- Participate in submission of conference proposals and serve as a presenter when deemed necessary.
- Serve as representative of CJJR in national partnership meetings when needed.
- Develop and contribute to research briefs and publications.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of all multi-system technical assistance programs.
- Assist in strategizing and developing enhancements to the Crossover Youth Practice Model.
- Assist in development of partnerships with other national organizations that support this area of work. These partnerships should address areas of need in the Crossover Youth Practice Model.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's Degree preferred
- Must have at least 5-7 years work experience, preferably experience in Juvenile Justice, Child Welfare, or a related system of care
- Must be proficient in all Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint)
- Ability to balance multiple assignments, working with a number of staff and managers
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing technical assistance and training and strong writing skills
