Requirements

Director, Donor Agreements - Office of Advancement

The Director supports the Senior Director in the overall management of the donor agreement process and will be responsible for aspects of the process. Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Assists the Senior Director in the management of the donor agreement process for donor agreements of medium to high complexity; will be responsible for handling a variety of matters of varying complexity and will provide advice on those matters as they relate to donor agreements.
  • Assists the Senior Director in resolving problems with old donor agreements, change of purpose issues, etc.
  • Assists the Senior Director with ensuring donor agreement compliance.
  • Manages and runs, with Donor Agreements Team, training sessions for OA and institutional colleagues on the donor agreement process and issues related to donor agreements.
  • Provides training on legal issues as they relate to donor agreements in order to promote compliance with legal requirements and to reduce exposure to legal risks.
  • Provides guidance on the process to colleagues on an as-needed basis.


Requirements
  • Master's Degree; JD is preferred
  • 5-7 years of professional work experience
  • Superior communication, diplomatic, and interpersonal skills
  • Superior organizational and writing skills
  • Extraordinary attention to detail
  • Able to understanding legal, financial, accounting concepts, substantive versus non-substantive changes to contracts,
  • Expertise with Google Docs and Excel
  • Able to manage numerous details and projects at once; ability to juggle tasks and prioritize and re-prioritize, must have excellent customer service skills, must have a friendly phone and email manner; Individual must have excellent writing skills
  • Experience working under deadlines, both independently and collaboratively; must be able to deal with multiple, competing priorities, with minimal supervision
  • Able to identify and analyze potential legal, audit, accounting, budget, employment, financial aid, fund management, policy, stewardship, and tax issues
