Business and Administrative Manager - Auxiliary Business Services

Auxiliary Business Services is the University Department responsible for providing the Georgetown community with dining, retail, and business services , including Dining, Campus Mail, GU Hotel and Conference Center, Bookstore, and the GOCard Program. The Business and Administrative Manager will provide financial and administrative support for all Auxiliary Business Services operations and programs. The Manager's duties include but are not limited to:
  • Ensure that financial transactions are accurate, processed timely and within University and auditing guidelines.
  • Provide administrative support to the VP of Auxiliary Services, and VP of Corporate Partnerships, as needed, to include coordinating meetings, collecting, developing and delivering supporting materials in a timely manner.
  • Draft correspondence, planning and managing logistics of events, arranging travel and daily calendar management.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business management, or equivalent experience
  • 3 years relevant work experience; 5 years preferred
  • Experience in an administrative office (preferably on a college campus)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Experience in telecom administration, scheduling, supporting, and meetings management
  • The ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously with little supervision
  • Position must maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues
  • Proficient in Excel, including expertise in Pivot tables
  • Knowledge of Google Apps (Gmail, Google Docs, Calendar, etc)
  • Will be required to learn and use Workday Financials system, Bb Transact Production, Bb Transact Reporting, Banner, and other applications, as applicable
