Dewberry is currently seeking a Network Administrator to join our IT department in our Fairfax, Virginia office. In this position you will be installing and troubleshooting networking hardware to include Routers, Switches, Firewalls and Network drops for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems. You will also assist in coordinating special projects related to LAN/WAN hardware/software improvements and/or enhancements.

The qualified candidate for this position will have any combination of education and training equivalent to possession of a bachelor's degree in computer science, information engineering or other related areas and such education should be at a level which demonstrates the ability to perform the responsibilities listed.

Responsibilities

  • Installation and troubleshooting of network hardware including routers, switches and firewalls.
  • Day to day operations and support of a distributed Cisco Unified Communications environment to include MACs, VoIP phone setup and administration of desktop applications (Jabber).
  • Assist with coordination of special projects related to LAN/WAN and IPT hardware/software improvements and/or enhancements.
  • Maintenance and management of Cisco Prime Infrastructure, to include setup of new sites, syslog/fault monitoring, image/ios backups and change management.
  • Network health monitoring utilizing industry leading technologies.


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 0-2 years' experience in a distributed network environment.
  • Experience with Cisco UCM, Unity Connection, IM&P, CER, Contact Center and Netscout are preferred, but not required.
  • Working knowledge of routing protocols, web filtering, SIP trunking, VoIP and network troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of 802.11a/b/g/n wireless networks and be able to resolve connectivity, interference, authentication and coverage issues.
  • US Citizenship required
