Job Details

The American Enterprise Institute seeks a full-time audience development assistant to support AEI's Foreign and Defense Policy department.

The major responsibilities of this position include managing departmental contacts and identifying and growing audiences for AEI content. Additional duties include organizing private and public events and conferences, cultivating strategic relationships with members of peer organizations, attending and networking external events, and providing general administrative support to AEI Senior Vice President of Foreign and Defense Policy Studies Danielle Pletka. Equally important responsibilities include ensuring effective communication between AEI's Foreign and Defense Policy department and the institute's communications departments.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong professional and outgoing demeanor, stellar academic record, and a demonstrated interest in foreign and defense policy. Excellent interpersonal, writing, communication, and organizational skills are required. Familiarity with Salesforce is desirable.
