Continued employment is contingent upon satisfactorily completing a criminal history records check. Employment with the U.S. House of Representatives is at-will. EOE.

Extensive knowledge of federal employment and labor laws. Must have proven legal research abilities and strong written and oral communication skills. Minimum of ten years litigation experience, including extensive courtroom, trial, or administrative hearing experience as first chair. Experience developing and delivering training. Knowledge of management theories and practices as well as supervisory experience. Ability to provide the necessary leadership and structure to manage attorneys and administrative staff. Knowledge of office policies, practices, and procedures, in addition to current laws, House rules, and other requirements relating to the Office of the Clerk. Ability to work effectively under pressure. Must have a law degree and be a member in good standing of the bar of the highest court of any state.
