This is an advanced practice nursing role with market-wide multidisciplinary team collaboration and coordination which promotes the Chest Pain program as it pertains to the care of identified patient populations.
The Coordinator collaborates with the health care team, and provides leadership in achieving standards of care, including on-going quality and evidence-based practice to ensure process efficiencies. This role also provides formal and informal program education within facilities as is relevant, and collaborates with facility administration, medical directors and nursing staff in order to assure process improvement for the care of the Chest Pain patient.

Candidates should possess:
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing
- Strong communication skills
- Advanced knowledge with cardiac cases
- Detail-oriented and experience with data management

Work Schedule:

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To assess and analyze outcomes of the metrics that measure clinical performance related to Chest Pain/Acute Myocardial Infarction, including (but not limited to) STK, AMI, OP-AMI Core Measures.
  • To compare organizational outcomes to industry and regulatory guidelines and standards for chest pain care.
  • To concurrently and retrospectively abstract data from medical records and record in the relevant registry, from focused audits to full chart review. To enter collected data into software and/or database.
  • Assesses the educational needs of staff, physicians, and other organizational team members, and collaborates with Nursing Management and Educational Department to develop and implement those recommendations. Assess overall educational needs of relevant inpatients, and leads development of those initiatives. Ensures Representation from WAH in community awareness programs, organizations concerned with chest pain programs and industry health screening programs.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned by the leadership team, Patient Safety Management and Administration.
  • Collaborates with physicians, nurses, other clinical disciplines, Administration, and the Governing Board in making decisions regarding the hospital's chest pain credentialing process. Works with professional and non-professional employees of the hospital, and with physicians, patients, and their families.


Full-time position, 40 hours/week. Monday-Friday 8a-5p
