The Language Access Services Manager:
Manages daily operations of the SGMC Language Access Services Department to achieve strategic, operational and financial goals
Enforces compliance with language access policies and regulations, support interpreter standards of practice, and identify new technologies and certifications to enhance department's offerings
Recommends and implements policies and procedures for LASD internally and promote language access services across the organization
Collaborates with the Center for Health Equity & Wellness to serve as a cultural and linguistic resource for hospital staff and patients
Implement improvement projects and initiatives
Interprets for patients and families, as needed/if able

Qualified Candidates will possess:
Bachelor's degree in public health, business administration, or a related academic area
Two years of managerial experience in language access services or similar program
Experience in healthcare settings (preferred)
Budget management experience (preferred)
Fluency in other foreign languages like Spanish, Mandarin, etc. (preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to give feedback in a professional manner
Flexible in dealing with a variety of people at various levels
