AEI, a leading nonprofit public policy research organization with about 250 employees, seeks a Managing Director of Talent Development. The primary responsibility of the Managing Director will be identifying and recruiting the human capital necessary to achieve AEI's mission. The Managing Director will work closely with the Institute's senior management, research & administrative departments and supporting staff to accomplish their objectives.

Responsibilities include building and supervising the Institute's talent development team members. A primary responsibility specific to the position will be bringing an entrepreneurial spirit and sharing best practices to expand the Institute's recruiting efforts. An important measure of success will be the ability to work interactively with research program coordinators and other management team members to expand transparency in the hiring process, sharpen descriptions of available positions and recruiting materials, and build systems to provide personnel planning, budget formulation, and personnel and benefit cost tracking.

The position requires a strong background in human resources, exceptional interpersonal skills, creativity, and great attention to detail. Experience in human resource matters and relevant educational background are strongly desired.
