The American Enterprise Institute's Critical Threats Project (CTP) produces detailed, objective analysis and forecasting on America's core national security challenges and concrete recommendations to address them. AEI seeks an analyst to conduct independent research, lead a team of interns, and support foreign policy scholars in advancing CTP's mission.

The primary area of focus for this position will be Iranian security and foreign policy activities, including Iran's military capabilities, regional influence, and soft power outreach. Other responsibilities include selecting, training, and developing interns; contributing to other research efforts; providing feedback on technological innovation projects; and providing other research and administrative support as required.

The ideal candidate works well on a team and in a fast-paced environment and possesses excellent research, writing, communication, leadership, teachability, and task management skills. Previous project management experience is desired. A demonstrated interest in foreign and defense policy, language proficiency in Farsi, and strong technological instincts are required. Analysts interact in a bespoke research database daily and use cutting-edge technology to complete research.
