The Lourie Center for Children's Social & Emotional Wellness is a private, non-profit agency with a mission to improve the social and emotional health of young children and their families through prevention, early intervention, education, research and training. The Lourie Center has four core programs serving children birth through age 12 and their families: Head Start, The Lourie Center School, The Therapeutic Nursery Program and Parent-Child Clinical Services.

The Social Worker:
Provides direct clinical services including psychological evaluations and psychotherapy (individual, family, collateral, and parent counseling) to assigned cases. Work is performed under general supervision of manager.
Is capable of making independent clinical decisions regarding diagnosis and treatment at the same time acknowledging when a particularly complex case requires either clinical supervision or consultation
Has expertise in teaching theoretical approaches and diagnostic and treatment procedures used in providing mental health services to infants, young children and their families
Has the ability to collaborate on an interdisciplinary team (e.g., share the social work perspective with other clinicians and to consider and then as appropriate to incorporate the findings of other disciplines) in determining a diagnostic understanding and appropriate treatment plan
Excellent oral and written presentation skills
Independent nature of position requires excellent time management skills
Ability to identify parent concerns and address their needs in the therapeutic process is essential
Must keep abreast of advances in the field and regularly share new information with colleagues

Qualified candidates will possess:
LCSW in Social Work; masters degree preferred
1+ years of experience working in a clinical setting
Active BLS CPR card.

Full time day shift.
