AboutWeb is looking for an enthusiastic sourcing/internet research intern to assist our Technical Recruiting team in researching and identifying qualified candidates for open positions within the AboutWeb team's staff augmentation division. You will be responsible for helping to identify new candidates and providing initial phone screens with qualified leads.
This internship will help you acquire experience working in the Information Technology industry as well as the government contract world. You will learn the intricacies of positions available within the IT field and provide support to our Senior Resource Managers with researching and identifying qualified candidates for the many open IT positions we are currently searching for. You will also be responsible for conducting initial phone screens with potential candidates to determine best fit for open positions. We are seeking a commitment of 10 hours/week. This internship is paid.
Sourcing/Internet Research Intern Responsibilities:
  • Use internet research to develop a solid understanding of qualities needed to fulfill specific IT roles, including cleared government and cybersecurity roles
  • Research and identify qualified candidates using a combination of the AboutWeb resume database, along with other databases like LinkedIn, Monster, Indeed, and others
  • 50 reach out calls a week to potential candidates to identify qualified candidates
  • Manage and update company database with candidate information and ensure data integrity within our customer relationship management systems (CRM)
  • Passion for working with a social enterprise company
  • Have an interest in reducing poverty by creating IT opportunities for people from economically underutilized areas
  • Interest in learning about the business strategies of a social enterprise company
  • Strong desire to learn about the IT industry combined with professional drive
  • Ability to conduct phone screens with qualified candidates and accurately report back information to our Senior Resource Managers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Familiarity with marketing computer software and online applications (e.g. CRM tools, Online analytics and Google Adwords)
  • Current enrollment in a related BS or Masters degree
