The MIL Corporation is seeking to fill multiple Junior (Entry-Level) Software Developer/Programmer posiitons to support a Federal Government client at our Patuxent River, MD location.

  • Assist in conducting test of new specifications and/or modified applications
  • Assist in writing structured application/interface code from specifications conforming to established methodology and standards
  • Assist in defining application objectives by analyzing user requirements; envision system features and functionality
  • Assist in designing and developing user interfaces to applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout the development life cycle

Required Qualifications
  • HS/GED
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a computer related field
  • Must have a passion for solving challenging problems and advancing the state of knowledge and technology
  • Must possess an interest in learning about systems administration on one or more operating systems
  • Must have a desire to learn software version control
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills

Desired Qualifications
  • AA/AS
  • C++ programming experience
  • 3 years of experience in a computer related field
  • Possess Top Secret or above clearance
  • Knowledge of the labs, systems and networks that comprise the NAVAIR RDT&E network environment at Patuxent River, MD
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative and works well in a team environment with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with BMC Footprints, RSA Archer, Atlassian, SharePoint, and/or IBM DOORS
