They are established, and growing. They are looking for a full time Cloud Architect, but it will start as a contract to hire position. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate how to juggle several different priorities, stakeholder groups and communities simultaneously as well as engaging their own team, customers, suppliers and the rest of the IT organization effectively. Must be able to show their teams the lsquobigger picture of where they fit into the business, not just IT. The successful candidate needs to be able to switch focus, business language, and context on a continual basis as they deal with different stakeholders daily. The ideal Cloud Infrastructure Architect will Analyze stakeholder requirements and convert into secure cloud solutions Use extensive technical expertise to build the business case for changes in the infrastructure architecture strategy Collaborate with technical SMEs to design the proper pathways to success and maintain DevOps pipeline architecture and tooling requirements Sets and drives the implementation of standards, advises teams of IT technology standard requirements, methodology and processes. Responsible for cloud infrastructure standards, design, systems analysis, security, data center operation, compute, storage, network voice communication Communicates and validates cloud architecture with infrastructure team, project management team, and technology services management team. Conducts end-to-end technical plan design. Develops specifications for interfaces from existing to new systems. Work directly with business users to translate requirements into designs and ultimately develop and deploy secure cutting-edge solutions that leverage cloud based solutions Handle all aspects of solution development. Requirements - BSc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant field Excellent written and verbal communications skills 5 years successfully designing and implementing successful public cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, Google, Oracle) 10 years in working with Compute, Storage, Network Security, Infrastructure and Data Center technologies Background and experience working with and establishing a DevOps team, practices, and culture Architecture Certification (AWS-CSA, MCSE-Cloud, MCSD-Azure, TOGAF, CITA, EACOE, Certified SOA Architect, etc.) Proven work experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role Experience with web and cloud technologies and building enterprise architecture roadmaps Solid technical background with an ability to present to and persuade a non-technical audience 5 years of Hands-on experience working with Juniper and Checkpoint firewall technologies Technical aptitude and depth with Mac, Windows , Linux operating systems Must have a thorough knowledge of the Windows concepts, Domains, Active Directory and its concepts, and the interaction between hardware, operating systems, network, data center, and application software Strong working knowledge of VMware or other virtual software. Deep understanding of NAS, SAN storage, backups, storage technologies Deep understanding of TCP, IP, DNS, DHCP and other network protocols and services Knowledge of managing a data center in terms of systems monitoring, capacity planning and performance tuning.
