    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
    You must be able to obtain and retain a Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information. In addition, you are subject to a Counterintelligence Polygraph examination in order to maintain access to Top Secret information. All employees are subject to a periodic examination on a random basis in order to determine continued eligibility. Refusal to take the examination may result in denial of access to Top Secret information, SAP, and/or unescorted access to SCIFs.

    Employees with SCI access and who are under NGA cognizance are required to submit a Security Financial Disclosure Report, SF-714, on an annual basis in order to determine continued eligibility. Failure to comply may negatively impact continued access to Top Secret information, Information Systems, SAP, and/or unescorted access to SCIFs.


    NGA utilizes all processes and procedures of the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Non-executive NGA employees are assigned to five distinct pay bands based on the type and scope of work performed. The employee's base salary is established within their assigned pay band based on their unique qualifications. A performance pay process is conducted each year to determine a potential base pay salary increase and/or bonus. An employee's annual performance evaluation is a key factor in the performance pay process. Employees on term or temporary appointments are not eligible to apply for internal assignment opportunity notices.

    This position is a DCIPS position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1601.     The Information Technology Career Service is seeking qualified applicants for potential future NGA requirements, in the work roles listed below. Job duties may include, but are not limited to: The Information Technology Mission Watch Officer (IT-MWO): IT-MWOs reside within the NGA Enterprise Service Center (ESC) and serve as the senior technical watch officer for the Agency ensuring active support for the Agency's global GEOINT mission. The IT-MWO must know/track/monitor/report accurately all open significant incidents, oversee the implementation of and conduct reporting for Authorized Outages, and consistently deliver superior, responsive, and knowledgeable Customer Support to partners at all levels. The IT-MWO position requires an in-depth knowledge of NGA network architecture and routing including the ability to identify NGA circuits, redundant links, and single threaded edge sites. The IT-MWO must be able to handle day-to-day operations, perform all functions without assistance or direction and be able to research information or call for help when needed. The IT-MWO serves as a liaison between NGA Government Leads/Functional Managers, mission partners, and other intelligence community representatives for NGA IT Enterprise issues. The IT-MWO ensures situational awareness is provided to NGA leadership enabling a secure and operative NGA GEOINT IT infrastructure. The selectee for this position will be required to complete an 18-24 month rotation of 24x7 coverage of 12 hour shifts. Enterprise Management Services Technical Lead and Subject Matter Expert: Serves as the expert for the adoption, integration and maintenance of Enterprise Management (EM) monitoring tools and services and processes in support of the enterprise Service Center (ESC). They contribute to the EM architecture governance and overview on NGA premise and Cloud enable monitoring and IT Service management (ITSM) process tools. The EM Services Technical lead makes recommendations and leads implementation for new EM IT capabilities to support the ESC and IT management. Also serves as the Technical Monitor for the EM Engineering and Tools Support Service Areas of the relevant contract vehicle. Provides performance feedback to the Contracting Officer Representative and technical expertise to the PMO for all current services and new requirements. Fulfills the role of PM and GPOC for EM system security packages. Actively leads and participated in technical exchanges, document reviews, EM process initiatives supporting ESC requirements for situational awareness, service health and analytics. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related Physical Science discipline. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of college coursework in any area listed in option A, plus experience monitoring and/or coordinating the resolution of information technology issues or in a closely-related field that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the tasks associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of college work is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years. -OR- C. Experience: Four years of experience monitoring and/or coordinating the resolution of information technology issues or a closely-related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the tasks associated with this work.

    NGA is seeking a high-achieving, team oriented, pay band 04 IT Operations Analysts who have demonstrated experience in the following: 1. Demonstrated experience with IT Service Management and IT health and status monitoring 2. Demonstrated experience with cloud engineering 3. Demonstrated ability to communicate technically complex methods and solutions to a non-technical audience 4. Experience as a systems administrator or computer operator 5. Experience in IT Operational activities to include: system audits, gathering requirements, system documentation, quality assurance, and/or deployment of enterprise initiatives The following qualities are desired for these opportunities: 1. Familiarity with DoD and Intelligence Community activities, functions and organizational structures 2. Experience with Amazon Web Services cloud infrastructure 3. Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)v3 Foundations Certification 4. DoD 8570 Information Assurance Manager Level 1 Certification
