Social Services Supervisor
Provides both clinical and administrative supervision to professional child welfare social work staff providing wrap around case management services to families through the Neighborhood Networks (NN) Program in Child Abuse & Neglect Prevention. NN staff works in coordination with partner schools and other professionals to assist families and children to increase their natural networks of support, raise the level of family functioning, and strengthen family relationships to ensure family stability and promote the success of their school-age children. Under supervision of the Program Manager, this position works in partnership with another supervisor to oversee Neighborhood Networks services which DFS operates in collaboration with 19 Fairfax County elementary schools and one preschool.
Schedule: Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required.

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree; plus four years of increasingly responsible, directly-related professional experience in the social services or human services field. A master's degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of required experience.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Valid driver's license.
- Master's degree in social work (MSW);
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW);
- Child welfare experience.
The appointee to the position must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check, Child Protective Services Registry check, and driving record check to the satisfaction of the employer.
Sufficiently mobile to attend meetings and community events outside the office; ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing and ability to use automated technology. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
