  • To qualify for this position at the grade GS-12, you must have at least one full-time year (12-months) of specialized marketing and business development work experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Examples of qualifying experience are as follows:
    • Utilizing on-line and off-line communication methods and practices.
    • Planning and carrying out assignments independently.
    • Interacting with all users at all levels of the organization.
    • Perceiving the needs of the customer, relating those to the needs of the business enterprise.

    Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

    The full performance level of this position is GS-12.
