    Applicants applying for the GS-12 grade level must meet the following requirements:

    Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.

    Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

    • Experience developing and conceptualizing sports exchange programs.
    • Experience reviewing and analyzing grant proposals and grant awards.
    • Experience developing relations with local organizations and/or sports institutions.
    • Experience participating in outreach activities on behalf of an organization.
    • Experience assessing projects and their impact on the participants.

    There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-12 position.


    Applicants applying for the GS-13 grade level must meet the following requirements:

    Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.

    Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

    • Experience developing and conceptualizing sports exchange programs.
    • Experience soliciting, analyzing and monitoring grant proposals and grant awards.
    • Experience developing and maintaining relations with local organizations and sports institutions/sports figures.
    • Experience organizing and participating in outreach activities on behalf of an organization.
    • Experience using social media platforms to highlight program successes and align messaging with priority themes.
    • Experience assessing programs and projects, their achievements, and their impact on the participants and involved parties.

    There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.

    • Knowledge of grant administration regulations, procedures, and practices.
    • Ability to interact effectively with others.
    • Ability to plan and direct outreach programs.
